Patricia Ann Cleveland Fowler, 74, went to be with the Lord on September 14th, 2023, after a short but valiant battle with cancer.

Patricia was born on November 15, 1948 in Waurika, OK, to Grover Lee Cleveland and Bessie Mathews Cleveland.  Patricia's journey was extraordinary.  She started her life with outhouses and chickens in the cotton patch, as the fourth of seven siblings.  She married young to the love of her life, Roger Fowler, and spent over 30 years at Howmet Castings, putting the final touches on jet engine turbines.  Roger was a firefighter and she lived the life of a firefighter's wife, alone with the kids every third night, active in the women's auxiliary, and always proud of her hero husband and all the people he helped and lives he saved.

Patricia and Roger loved to travel, whether it be a last minute weekend trip to antique stores or flea markets or a cruise to Alaska or South America, they saw much of the country and beyond together and with friends and family.  One of their favorite things was getting up early on a Saturday morning and going saling.  Garage saling, that is.  She loved to haggle over prices and buy odds and ends for her friends and family.  She would roll up to the house, pop the trunk, and show off her treasures, bragging about how much she talked them off the price.

She had boundless energy and never did anything in half measures.  When Roger joined the Shrine, they went to all of the events, when they decided to take up cycling they rode in the Hotter-N-Hell.  When they decided to collect Marcrest dishes, they collected all of them.Three times.  With friends, they built a cabin in Colorado out of trees cut from the land, and with family they built their dream house in the country. The most enduring thing Patricia built though was life-long friendships.  Patricia never met a stranger and loved to laugh and cut up with anyone she met.  She was a member of the Red River Renegades muzzle loading gun club for over forty years where an embarrassing incident earned her the nickname Midnight Mooner, and a lifetime of teasing by friends that were as dear to her as siblings.  She competed in the musket matches briefly, but she really found her niche running the "cook shack", where she could feed and cut-up and visit with everyone all day long.

She and her five sisters could carry on at least six conversations at once without missing a beat.  They loved to load up in Patricia's Suburban and go on a "sister trip" shopping in OKC or DFW a couple of times a year. They almost always got lost and didn't care.  Patricia would drive, and once, she said they were so busy talking and laughing, they circled Oklahoma City twice before they even thought to look for their exit. It was really about spending time with sisters, and they knew they would get there eventually.

Almost lost in the crowd of sisters, was Patricia's brother Robert who she loved dearly.  She talked to him regularly and tried her best to keep him in line.  She loved to go fishing with Robert, he knows all of the best fishing holes around Waurika and how to get the fish to bite.

Patricia had three children with a 15-year gap from the oldest to the youngest, so some of her grand children are younger than some of her great grandchildren.  She was always eager to watch the "rascals" and didn't hesitate to change her plans when she was needed.  She would feed them whatever they wanted all day long and they all knew where to find the goodies in between.

Patricia was thoughtful and always generous.  Even in her last days, she was instructing her daughter about who needed birthday cards and gifts from her.

Patricia was preceded by her parents and her sister Connie McDonald.

She is survived by her husband Roger, daughters Lisa Pharries (Wayne) of Wichita Falls and Bobbie Smith (Kevin) of Iowa Park, and son Roger Don Fowler (Leah) of Wichita Falls, her siblings, Mary Veitenheimer of Fort Worth, Bertha Duncan (Clinton) of Terrall, OK, Carla Poage (Tommy) and Penny Frey of Duncan, OK, Robert Cleveland of Waurika, OK, and brother-in-law David McDonald of Duncan, OK.  She also leaves behind six grandchildren, Mark Pharries (Rachel), Marie Henricks (Skyler), Tyler Smith, Jackson Fowler, Zoe Fowler, and step granddaughter, Bailey Wuthrich, as well as four great-grandchildren Elijah and Emilia Henricks, and Reed and Reagan Pharries.

Special gratitude is owed to nieces Dana Alexander and Paula Fuqua who took off from jobs and drove over three hours to spend time with and care for "Aunt Pat".  Also indispensable were granddaughter Marie Henricks who spent many nights with her grandma, and granddaughter-in-law Rachel Pharries, who is an RN and was always there at a moments notice, day or night, to provide love, support and hands-on nursing care.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 7:00 pm on Tuesday, September 19th at Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home at 2812 Midwestern Parkway in Wichita Falls.  Services will also be at Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home at 10:00 am on September 20th with Pastor Craig Lile of Faith Baptist Church officiating.
