Patrick Charles "Pat" Marushia Sr, 93, of Holliday, passed away on Sunday, February 19, 2023.

A memorial service will be held by Bethel Bible Community at the Hero House in Wichita Falls on Saturday, February 25th, at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Hollliday Cemetery under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.

Third son of the late Michael and Winnie Marushia, Pat was born on October 29, 1929, in Powhatan, West Virginia. The son and grandson of coal miners in Northfork, WV, Pat started working early in life as a construction machine operator with the Inland Steel Mill in Indiana.  He joined the United States Air Force in 1948. He was sent to Sheppard Air Force Base for training, where he met and married Jayme "EvaGene" Chittum of Wichita Falls on March 21, 1949. Pat was then transferred to Adak, AK, where he served until leaving the Air Force. Upon returning to Texas, Pat became a painting contractor, serving the Wichita Falls area for 63 years.  He also provided for his family with a self-sustaining farm and enjoyed cattle ranching.

Along with his parents, Pat is preceded in death by his brothers, John "Jack," Joseph, and Paul; his sister Jo Ann Blevins; his wife EvaGene; and his sons-in-law Patrick Parker and Bruce King.

He is survived by his children: son, Patrick Marushia Jr and wife Susan; daughters,Sharon Parker, Rebecca Marushia, Deborah Barnett and husband Ralph; and Jo King; grandchildren, Robin Welch, Sean Marushia, Anthony, Matthew and Patrick Barnett; and Rebecca King; and great-grandchildren, Elizabeth and Juliana Welch, and Amelia Barnett.
