On the evening of May 19th, 2023, at the age of 68, in Wichita Falls, Texas, Paula Gayle Cooke went to her eternal rest with the Lord.

Paula was born on September 30, 1954, in Wichita Falls, Texas, to Berl Cooke and Martha Huff Cooke. She was a member of the graduating class of 1973 from Wichita Falls High School (Old High). She furthered her education by receiving a degree in Computer Science from Wayland Baptist University. She moved to Austin, Texas, where she resided most of her life and returned home to Wichita Falls in 2022. Her last employment was in a supervisory role with the Comptroller's Office of the State of Texas.

In her free time, Paula loved spending time with friends and family. She loved to visit the mountains, specifically Creede, Colorado, where she enjoyed dry-fly fishing. You could also find her floating down the Guadalupe River, playing or watching softball, or just hanging out with friends and family. Paula had a huge heart and a big smile. She was always helping a friend or someone in need.

Paula is preceded in death by both parents, Berl and Martha Cooke, and nephew, Alan Wilhelm. She is survived by brother Paul Cooke and wife Carla of Wichita Falls, Texas, nieces Kristen Wilhelm and Kimberly Cooke, nephew Brian Cooke and wife Hannah all of Wichita Falls, Texas, and many great and great-great nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 23, 2023, at 1:00. Visitation and graveside at Crestview Cemetery will follow.
