Pauline Mahfood Kouri, 95, of Wichita Falls, passed away Thursday, Dec. 24, 2020 in Wichita Falls, Texas.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at 1 p.m. at Riverside Cemetery with Father Jim Lyle of All Saints' Episcopal in Nevada, Missouri, officiating. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home of Wichita Falls.

Pauline was born Sept. 10, 1925 in Kingston, Jamaica to Najeeb and Almaasa Mahfood, the youngest of six children. After the passing of her father, Pauline and her mother moved to Wichita Falls to live near their family. Pauline and Almaasa proudly became citizens of the United States in November 1953.

Pauline married Sammie Kouri on June 9, 1946, and they were together for 62 loving years. In that time, they welcomed sons Robbie and Rick and daughter, Carolyn. They built a life as entrepreneurs in the Wichita Falls community and were active members at Fain Presbyterian Church. Pauline served as president of Presbyterian Women, and held offices in Deacons and Session. She also volunteered in many civic causes at Faith Mission, Concern, and Wichita General Hospital. She and other Kiwanis Club members' wives started the Ki-anns.

Pauline was well known for her sewing and cooking skills, always lovingly giving of her time and talents to benefit others. She gave classes at church and the Wichita Falls Museum of Art on cooking Lebanese cuisine.

Pauline is preceded in death by her parents, Najeeb and Almaasa; husband, Sammie; and grandson, Blake Joseph Kouri.

She is survived by sons Robbie Kouri of San Antonio and Rick Kouri and wife Michelle of Colorado Springs; daughter, Carolyn Kouri of Wichita Falls; grandson Grant Kouri, wife Sara, and great-granddaughter Wynona Blake of Leiden, The Netherlands; granddaughter Nadia; and granddaughter Kaitlyn Kouri and great-grandson, Ethan.
