Peggy Lewis Vise, 83, of Wichita Falls, passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2023.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, January 18 ^th at Crestview Memorial Park under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.

Peggy was born October 31, 1939, in Seymour, Texas to the late George and Minnie (Vaughan) Lewis.  Peggy spent her school years in Wister, Oklahoma, where she met her husband, Buddie Vise.  From there, she began a journey as an Air Force wife, living in Arkansas, Maryland, North Dakota, and Hawaii before settling in Wichita Falls, Texas.  She and Buddie raised two daughters, Lisa and Kelly, and were blessed with four grandchildren.  She was an active member of Wesley United Methodist Church.  "Mamaw" will be remembered not for what she did, rather for whom she was – a selfless but strong woman with the softest touch who made friends and strangers feel welcome, valued, and loved.

Along with her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by her husband Buddie Vise;  daughter, Lisa Machacek; brothers, Charles Lewis, 'Red' Lewis, R. T. Lewis, 'Pinkie' Lewis and Carlton Lewis; and sisters, Mary Rice, Carol Shearman, Evelyn Lewis and Ann Elliott.

She is survived by her daughter, Kelly Thomas and husband, Scott; grandchildren Emily and Peter Thomas, Tanner Ricks and wife Chelsea, and Blake Ricks and wife Hope.
