Perfecta "Fery" Ridgway, 97, of Wichita Falls, Texas passed away on May 16, 2022.

Services will be held at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church on May 20, 2022 at 10:00 A.M. After the service a graveside will be held at Sacred Heart Cemetery. The family will receive friends at a visitation on May 19, 2022 from 5:30 to 6:30 P.M. with a rosary to follow from 6:30 to 7:30 P.M.

Fery was born in Cebu City, Philippines to Ingracio Alcover and Angela Embalsado. She is a survivor of the Battle of the Philippines of 1941-1942. In January of 1951, she married the love of her life, Tonie Donald Ridgway, migrated to the United States and began her life as a devoted military spouse and mother. Fery enjoyed farming, fishing, growing gardens, and ranching with her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents and all 10 of her siblings, husband Tonie D. Ridgway, daughter Daisy Coker, and grandson Michal McCauley.

She is survived by her daughter Faye McMillian of Burkburnett, Texas, son Tonie Ridgway of Lubbock, Texas, daughter Angie Ridgway-Vieth and husband Kennith of Wichita Falls, Texas, and daughter Angela Bradley of Lawrence, Kansas. Fery was a blessing to her grandchildren: Hope Synder, Jeremy Vieth and wife Christy, Jonathon Vieth, Jana Vieth, Jessica Morrison and husband Kyle, Corey Vadnais and wife Kendal, Garrett, Peyton and Nolan Bradley. Fery was also blessed with great-grandchildren: Kylie and Lilah Sutton, Elizabeth and Ethan Vieth, Garrett, Baylee, Brady and Mikayla Vieth, Haleigh Castillo, Tyler Ferguson and Kohen Voyles, Addisyn Howard, Sydney and Kaisyn Morrison, and Cohen Vadnais; as well as her great-great grandchildren Carson Elkins and Grayson Vieth. She also has a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews in the United States and also in the Philippines. Fery's strong Catholic faith led her to believe in miracles, pray the rosary daily, and be the spiritual influence and foundation to her family.
