Reaetta Gammon, 81, of Wichita Falls, Texas, died on Thursday October 27, 2022, in Vernon, Texas.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 5 ^th , at Gruver Cemetery in Gruver, Texas. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.

Reaetta was born in Hollis, Oklahoma to the late Lloyd (Jigger) and Verna Finley. She married Dell Roy Gammon in 1958, and they had four children. Reaetta and Dell Roy moved to Gruver, Texas, in 1968. Reaetta worked for the U.S. Post Office for 34 years. She started her career in Gruver and later transferred to Beaver, Oklahoma, and Windthorst, Texas, as Post Master. She had been a faithful member of both Gruver Church of Christ and Edgemere Church of Christ in Wichita Falls, Texas.

Reaetta is preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd (Jigger) and Verna Findley; her son, Terry Gammon; sister, Sue Smith; and brother, Jimmy Finley.

She leaves behind her husband of 63 years, Dell Roy Gammon; son, Kenneth Gammon and wife Michelle Everett of Vernon, Texas; daughter, Mendy Evans and husband Bob of North Richland Hills, Texas; and son, Roy Gammon of Tampa, Florida.

Reaetta also had six grandchildren, Tyler Evans and wife Melissa of Houston, Texas; Shelby Evans of Lubbock, Texas; Kelsey Evans of North Richland Hills, Texas; Heath Gammon and wife Laura of Tillamook, Oregon; Ashley Taylor and husband Matthew of Tucson, Arizona; and Andrew Gammon of Vernon, Texas. She also leaves behind many great grand children, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family sends out a special thanks to Advanced Rehabilitation and Healthcare of Vernon, Texas, for all they have done for Reaetta over the last couple of years.
