Reba Joy Decker Perry passed away peacefully on Sunday June 30th, 2024, surrounded by family and loved ones.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday July 3rd at Lunn's Chapel officiated by Anthony Levell. Family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until service time. Interment will follow at Byers Riverside Cemetery under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.

Reba was born on January 19, 1937, in King County, Texas, to Fern and John Decker. She graduated from Petrolia High School in 1955, and held many different jobs through the years, before working for Wayne Watts for 17 years as an executive assistant, and then retiring.

She married Robert Edward Perry on February 17, 1990. They enjoyed traveling, delivering meals through Meals on Wheels, and spending time studying the Bible together.

She was a lifetime member of Faith Baptist Church, where she and Robert led a Sunday school class for many years. She was involved with numerous committees and events at Faith over the years and was a shining beacon of welcome to all who walked through the church doors. She loved the Lord with all her heart, was an avid reader of Scripture, and had a deeply profound prayer life. Her hope and love for people have shaped a legacy of leaving those around her better than when she found them. She was a bright light to all who knew her.

Reba was preceded in death by her parents and first husband Harpie Whitehurst. She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Robert Perry; her two children, Lea Hampton and Cole (Jennifer) Whitehurst; her six grandchildren, Haley Hampton, Lance (Hilary) Whitehurst, Lauren (Trey) Whitehurst, and Lindsay (Justin) Quick, Krista (Daniel) Morris, Allison Graddy, six great-grandchildren, cousins, as well as an immeasurable number of friends and loved ones.
