Richard "Dick" Cullum Allred was born September 6, 1957, to John Burnis Allred and Carol Cullum Allred in Wichita Falls Texas and died on March 6, 2025.

Dick grew up in Wichita Falls Texas and attended Wichita Falls High School. He attended the University of Texas and later completed his degree at Midwestern State University. He married Renee Smith and had 2 children, Camille Anne Allred and Charles Hunt Allred. He purchased the local John Deere dealership with his father and together they built Texoma Tractor. He spent the rest of his career running cattle on his ranch. After he retired, he taught himself machining in his garage and assisted many of his friends and relatives with projects along with light gun smithing. He was the leader of the neighborhood volunteer pest control and when neighbors called him in a panic- he always answered the call with a swift solution. He lived his life with integrity, believing honesty to be one of the most important qualities someone could possess.

In his twenties, he traveled while shooting registered American Skeet with his two-man partner Brad Gerdes and later a 5-man team. He was an avid bird hunter and rarely missed the season opening of dove season with his friend, Jim Henderson. When he was not hunting birds, shooting "sporting skeet" and sporting clays, training his bird dog, or machining, he could occasionally be found watching a John Wayne western or Formula 1 race with a Shiner Bock in his hand. He made a study of everything he did and never did anything without wanting to know everything about it. He loved teaching others and had a vast amount of knowledge about everything from tennis racket stringing to yard maintenance. He and his son often discussed the best way to improve the brisket or ribs they had just smoked.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Johnny and Carol Allred, uncle, mentor, and great friend Landon Cullum, Liz Cullum, James and Barbara Cullum, and cousins Connie Cullum Dawley, and Jay Cullum.

He is survived by his wife, Renee Allred of Wichita Falls, Camille Allred of Fort Worth, and his son, Charles Allred of Denver, Colorado. He is also survived by his sister Ann Kable (John), niece Karoline Ray (Brandon), nephew Ward Kable (Meghan), and his 6 great nieces and nephews Emma Kate, Leila, Kensington, Landon, David Ward, and Clara.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to First Step, Faith Refuge for Women and Children, or Hospice of Wichita Falls.

A memorial and celebration of Dick's life will be held at Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home on Friday March 14th at 2:00 pm with a visitation to follow.
