Robert L. "Bobby" Arnold, Jr. 69, of Wichita Falls, passed away on April 4, 2023.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 11th at Wesley United Methodist Church, 1526 Weeks Street, followed by a reception in the fellowship hall.

A son of the late LaVerne (Null) and Robert L. "Bob" Arnold, Sr., Bobby was born on May 20, 1953, in Wichita Falls, Texas.  He was a 1971 graduate of Rider High School and attended classes at MSU. Bobby went to work for the Wichita Falls Police Department as a dispatcher at the age of 19, and later became an officer at the age of 21. Later he joined his father in the family business, Arnold Motor Supply. In the early 1980's Bobby became owner of Downtown Wheel Alignment.

Bobby was a jack of all trades and worked later for an entertainment company in Las Vegas, alongside Deryl Dodd, a country-western singer. He then ended his career as a substitute teacher for the Holliday school district. Teaching the students in Holliday was Bobby's favorite job and brought so much joy to his life.

Bobby had a deep love of music all of his life. He played in the Rider band and sang in the A Capella choir there. He and his friends formed many garage bands that played at many functions in Wichita Falls.

A special joy in Bobby's life was his five granddaughters. He loved attending their sport functions. celebrating with them at their birthday parties, having them visit and supplying them with peppermint patties.

In 2013, Bobby met the love of his life, Mercè Fernandez, and in 2014 he made his first trip to Barcelona to see her. They married, and from that time on he traveled to Barcelona six months each year until his illness and death.

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Mercè Fernandez; his daughters, Julie Dishman and husband, Brandon; and Mindy Duncan and husband, Richard all of Wichita Falls; his son, Pep of Barcelona; his sister, Fran Arnold Bryant; granddaughters, Madison and Lily Dishman and Lizzie, Hallie and Mia Duncan all of Wichita Falls; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
