Robert D. Williamson, Sr., 83, of Wichita Falls, passed away on Sunday, October 8, 2023.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 12th at Lunn's Colonial Chapel with Pastor Chad Stubblefield officiating. Interment will follow at Byers Cemetery in Byers, Texas, under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.

A son of the late Vivian (Surrett) and Clifford Williamson, Robert was born on April 9, 1940, in Detroit, Michigan. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Army with the 101st airborne division. He grew up in Symsonia, Kentucky, and later moved to Wichita Falls Texas, where he ran a successful glass business for many years. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. He is known by many as Bob but to his grandkids he will always be Tigger for his bouncy fun demeanor.  He was always ready to have fun, play a joke or simply just porch sit while watching the dogs play.  He was a member of Jefferson Street Baptist and Symsonia United Methodist.

Along with his parents, Robert was also preceded in death by his brothers Jimmy and Norman as well as daughter Cindy Goforth.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Norma Williamson; son, Bobby Williamson and wife Shelly; daughter, Robin Stuyck and husband Bob; daughter, Melissa Inman and husband Ty; son, Marvin Goforth and wife Martha; 11 grandkids and 5 great grandkids.
