Ronnie Glenn Kirkpatrick, loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend went to be with our Lord Tuesday January 26, 2021.

Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, January 29th, at First Presbyterian Church with Dr. Isaac Butterworth officiating. The family will welcome friends for visitation at Lunn's Funeral Home on Thursday, January 28th from 6:00 until 7:00 P.M. Arrangement are under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home. .

Ronnie was born on August 18, 1951, in Wichita Falls, Texas, to Jay Dean and Jody Kirkpatrick.  He married the love of his life; Vivian (Burross) on August 29,1987, and they have been blessed with 33 years of marriage.  Together, they raised three beautiful daughters.

Ronnie graduated from Wichita Falls High School in 1969 and then attended Paris Junior College on a baseball scholarship. After finishing up at Paris, Ronnie attended Midwestern State University and will forever be a proud Kappa Alpha alumni.  He began his professional career by becoming the first male operator in the United States.  He later transitioned to a position as telephone cable repairman with Southwestern Bell (and later AT&T) and retired "as a legend at the phone company" after over 40 years of service.

Ronnie loved life and lived it to its fullest.  His personality, along with his sense of humor, were larger than life.  His million-watt personality and infectious laughter instantly filled any room he entered and people naturally gravitated to him.  Ronnie never met a stranger, and anyone lucky enough to know him, will have their heart forever filled with happiness.  He cherished his friends and relished any opportunity to make people laugh. But nothing brought more joy to his life than spending time with his family.  He spent summers at Lake Kemp teaching his daughters, nieces and nephews how to water ski.  He spent countless hours at soccer games, track & cross country meets, tennis matches, basketball and football games.  As empty nesters, Ronnie and Vivian blazed a trail from one end of the Caribbean to other.  He loved to spend his days on a white sandy beach overlooking bright turquoise waters with his beautiful wife by his side.  Ronnie truly cherished every gift this life offered. In his own words, "I am blessed enough to know there is a God, and He likes me!"

Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents, JD and Jody Kirkpatrick; and father and mother in-law Cliff and Delia Burross.  He is survived by his loving wife Vivian and their three daughters; Courtney Cummings and husband Jim of Burkburnett, Shawn McClure of Dallas, and Whitney Clements and husband Rob of Springfield, MO.  Ronnie is the proud Papaw of 7 grandchildren: Jack Cummings and wife Katie, Jimmy Cummings, Joel Cummings, Houston & Caroline Clements, and Cooper & Conrad Crowe.  He is also survived by his brother, Dean Kirkpatrick and wife Mary of Waco; and Sister Vicki Henderson and husband Cliff of Wichita Falls. He is the beloved Uncle Ronnie to nieces and nephews; Doctors Chris & Karin Finnell, Trey & Simone Kirkpatrick, Kylie Finnell, Sean Kirkpatrick, Meredith & Brian Crowe, Cliff & Stacey Humphreys,  Kaleb Burross and Colleen Burross.

Serving as Honorary Pallbearers are Greg Frost, Jerrye Hargrove, John Luig, John O'Donohue, Paul Schlabs, and Randy Wetzel.

The family would like to give a heartfelt thanks to the 7 ^th floor ICU nursing and medical staff at United Regional for the unwavering compassion, dignity and care they provided for Ronnie.
