Roscoe A. Perkins, 79, of Wichita Falls, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 2, 2021. He was softly ushered into the arms of Christ, by two Hospice angels, Liz and Martha.

Funeral services will be at 10 AM, Thursday, September 9, 2021 at Lunn's Colonial Chapel. Interment will follow at Crestview Memorial Park under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.

A son of the late George H. Perkins and Pearline (Gandy), Roscoe was born on April 30, 1942, in Carnegie, Oklahoma. After graduating from Carnegie High School, he moved to Wichita Falls, where he married Elizabeth Davis on December 22, 1962. He served his country proudly, in the United States Marines, and was wounded during his service Vietnam. After returning home, Roscoe dedicated his professional life to Wichita Metal Products, where he spent 50 years working. A very witty and clever man, his co-workers were always on the lookout for his latest prank or impersonation of his colleagues.

At home, Roscoe could always be counted on in times of turbulence and triumph. He and Liz adopted a daughter, Amy, and later a son, Jason. Roscoe was a great father to his children, teaching lessons of respect, honesty, humility and gratitude. No matter how difficult any situation became involving his family, Roscoe stood right beside them; always. He was the father that he didn't have to be but chose to be. The character and integrity of Roscoe was loved and respected by all who knew him.

Along with his parents, Roscoe was also preceded in death by Elizabeth, his wife of 46 years. Liz left a lasting impact on Roscoe, leading him to dedicate his life to Christ following her death. He was a member of Cashion Baptist Church and attended regularly, until his health got in the way.

Roscoe is survived by his children, Amy Tatum and husband Troy, Jason and wife Danielle, 11 grandchildren, one great grandchild, and a sister, Laverne Muller and husband Phillip.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent the Hospice of Wichita Falls, 4909 Johnson Road, Wichita Falls, Texas 76310. Again, the Perkins family would like to graciously thank Liz and Martha, the Hospice nurses, that were committed to Roscoe passing with peace and dignity.
