Scott Fitts was born in Graham, Texas on December 11, 1957 to Peggy and Joe Fitts. He went to be with the Lord on December 5th, 2024. Services will be on Monday, December 9, 2024 at 1:00 pm at First Presbyterian Church, 3601 Taft, with visitation to follow in the atrium.

Scott spent most of his childhood in Wichita Falls, Texas where he attended Rider High School and graduated from Burkburnett High School in 1976. He then went on to attend Midwestern State University where he was active in Sigma Nu Fraternity, graduating in 1980.

Scott married the love of his life, Sherry Lynne Laing, on November 5, 1983, who he loved for 42 years. He went on to have three children, Braden, Conner, and Addison who he was so proud of.

Scott was passionate about many things including spending time with his grandkids, running, Texas A&M Football, MSU Basketball, history (especially Civil War and WWII), classic rock and was an avid sports enthusiast especially watching his children and grandchildren.

Scott was an entrepreneur at heart and was a realtor as well. He owned and operated Just Christmas from 1988-2006. He retired from Biggs and Mathews for almost 20 years.

He was a devoted member of First Presbyterian Church, where he served as elder, was on multiple pastor search committees, and was dedicated to the Men's Bible Study.

Scott had many friends and was dearly loved by many including the MSU Athletics community. Scott considered the members of First Presbyterian Church his family. He especially cherished his friendships with the members of their Supper Club who have been together for 30 years, the Thorntons, Twinings, Hetheringtons, Hamiltons and Andrews.

Although his body was failing him, he did not let Parkinson's define him and often said he wasn't going to quit living his life. He found his core strength from his relationship with Jesus Christ his Savior.

Scott is survived by wife Sherry Fitts; son Braden Fitts and wife Kim; son Conner; daughter Addison Roberts and husband Darion Ryan; grandchildren Martin Fitts, Noa Roberts, and Micah Roberts; brother Jeff Fitts and wife Sharon; father and mother-in-law Carroll and Mary Eda Laing; brothers-in-law Blake Laing, Wade Laing and husband Dave Evans; sister-in-law Lynette Hall and husband Mark; along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents Joe and Peggy Fitts and brother Tim Fitts.
