Daryl Scott Skipworth, 68, of Wichita Falls, Texas, passed away peacefully on June 27, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at Edgemere Church of Christ with Joe Williams officiating. Burial is to follow at Bowman Cemetery.

Scott was born on April 23, 1958, in Vernon, Texas, to the late Noel Skipworth and Glenda Cook. On August 6th 1976, he married the love of his life, Julie, beginning a marriage filled with unwavering love, faith, laughter, and devotion. Together they built a beautiful family, raising two daughters, Christy and Cara, who blessed them with six grandchildren. While Scott answered to many names throughout his life, his favorite was always "Paw Paw."

Scott was a dedicated plumbing contractor who owned and operated his own business for many years. He was known for his hard work, integrity, and willingness to help anyone in need. Whether it was a neighbor, friend, or complete stranger, Scott never hesitated to lend a helping hand.

He was a devoted fan of the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers and rarely missed the chance to cheer them on. But his greatest joy was never found in sports—it was found in his family. Scott cherished every moment spent with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchild. He loved making memories, telling stories, spoiling his grandkids whenever he could, and making each one of them feel deeply loved. His kindness, generosity, quick smile, and steady presence left a lasting mark on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Scott was preceded in death by his parents, Noel Skipworth and Glenda Cook, his precious granddaughter Cynthia Skipworth, and his precious great-granddaughter, Brynn Fuller.

He is lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, Julie Skipworth; his daughters, Christy Skipworth and Cara Younger and husband Shawn; his grandchildren, Brysen Skipworth and wife McKayla, Maddie Fuller and husband Rustyn, Juliana Hager, Reece Hager, Mally Lowery, and Malia Lowery; his great-granddaughter, Noah Fuller; his brother, Mike Skipworth and wife Terri; along with countless nieces, nephews, cousins, dear friends, and all who were blessed to call him family.

Scott's legacy is one of faith, hard work, unconditional love, and unwavering devotion to his family. Though he will be deeply missed every day, the love he poured into those around him will continue to live on through the generations he cherished so dearly.
