Sharon Lee Turner McGarity

June 25,1952- February 1,2026

Sharon was the youngest child of 14 children. Born to Johnny Lee and Edna Turner. She was proceeded in death by all 13 of her siblings and her husband of 32 years Monroe McGarity Sr.

Sharon worked as a school cook while her children went to school which allowed her to have the same schedule as her kids. She pursued her wish to become a mailman once her kids were grown and loved every minute of that job until she retired in 2000.  She had many adventures in her life. She drove an accordion bus in Las Vegas and Austin. She moved to Jacksboro from Austin and became a jailer for Jack County until she retired for good. She was an avid reader who shared her love of reading with her two oldest granddaughters. She was smart and sassy and was never afraid to give her opinion.

Sharon is survived by her daughter DR. Patricia and Lee Ackley, her daughter Katherine McGarity, granddaughter Madelyn and Anthony Garcia, Samantha and Cristian Botello, Kym and Tony Nash, Jacob and Ashley McGarity, Amber and Colby Manry and Dustin Ackley. She is also survived by her great grandchildren Kody, Karter, Aurelia, Brantley , Dawson, Quinn ,Madelynn Jo, TJ and Ben.
