Shawnda Michelle Hamon-Martin 51, passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2023.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 3, 2023, at Riverside Cemetery in Byers, Texas, with Pastor Chad Stubblefield officiating.  Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.

Shawnda was born in Stephenville, Texas, on May, 23, 1972. She grew up in Wichita Falls and later moved to Okmugge, Oklahoma. After the passing of her husband Daren, she moved back to Wichita Falls and remained until her passing at United Regional due to diabetes complications.

Shawnda over came many obstacles and helped anyone in need. She was a beloved and fun mother, Granny, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin and friend. Shawnda loved her job at Vetro, where she operated a forklift.

Shawnda was preceded in death by her father Ronald Heffley and paternal and maternal grandparents.

She is survived by her daughter, Summer Hamon and husband Will; and granddaughter Oakley of Okmugge, OK; her son Clayton and wife Katlyn Johnson; grandsons Gage and Briggs; granddaughters Ariana and Kyler all of South Carolina; her mother, Cathryn Melton of Wichita Falls; her brother Richard Heffley and wife DeSha; niece Jina Heffley; nephews Justin Heffley, Andrew and Jacob Haile, Ben Heffley and wife Jordan Heffley; and a great niece Avery Heffley, all of Wichita Falls, TX.
