Shirley Kay Flake (Parker), 61, passed away peacefully in the arms of her granddaughter and was surrounded by her loving husband, son, daughter-in-law, grandsons, sisters and niece on February 20 ^th , at 8:07 p.m. at United Regional Hospital in Wichita Falls, Texas.

After Shirley's cancer diagnosis six years ago, she was given a one-year prognosis. We thank God for her fighting spirit; we were blessed with six more years to love and be loved by her.

Shirley was born on December 11, 1961, in Chicago, Illinois. She was blessed to be loved and raised by her daddy Lonnie Lee Woods Sr. and her momma Linda Lou Woods. Shirley had a big generous heart and love for her family, friends, and dogs. Shirley was blessed to be loved unconditionally by her soulmate Julius "Buddy" Flake for almost 30 years.

Shirley is now happy, healed and rejoicing in heaven with her Lord and Savior and her mom, Linda; brother Lonnie Woods Jr. "Easy Money"; her grandparents and many others she loved and missed so much.

Shirley was loved and will be missed dearly by her husband, Julius "Buddy" Flake; her daddy, Lonnie Woods Sr.; her son, Ricky Maness Jr. (Lillie); her stepdaughters Aiesha Hart Chappel, Trisis Randles and Julia Flake Fields; her granddaughter, Halle Maness and her blessing that she prayed to see before she went to heaven; great granddaughter, Raegan Kay Wulfert; grandsons, Tyler Powers, Adam Crownover (Alexa), and Cole Maness; sisters, Rita Woods Davis, Peggy Lewis (Ken), Rosemary Bradley (Gerald); and their families and many more dear friends and family.

In honor and memory of Shirley Kay Flake, memorial contributions may be sent to the American Cancer Society or the Humane Society.
