With family at her side, Shirley Lee Rexrode Dunn, 88, was called to meet her Lord on Wednesday, May 28, 2025 in Wichita Falls, Texas.

Shirley was born July 9, 1936 in Hollis, Oklahoma to Gale Terry and Henri Lou (Gee) Rexrode.  On April 18, 1954 she and Bobby Gene Dunn were married in Borger, Texas and their 70 year union was blessed with 4 children.

Shirley loved and was loved.  She was always the one to remember birthdays, attend weddings and funerals, or attend to needs of those around her.  She served her Lord with grace and her care for others was always conveyed in an unmistakable envelope of love.  She was genuine, loving, and caring.

Shirley worked in retail sales and was a familiar face to many, especially because of the years she spent on the sales floor at McClurkan's and Dunlap's in Parker Square.  After Dunlap's closed, she became employed by Presbyterian Manor Healthcare where she retired in 2020 during the Covid pandemic at age 83.

Shirley was a faithful member of Faith Baptist Church for over 40 years.  She considered it her ministry to work in the Church nursery where she served somewhere between 25 and 30 years.  She loved children and especially the infants.

Preceding Shirley in death were her parents, husband Bob, and sisters Joy Rexrode Stewart and Betty Rexrode, and sister-in-law Kathy Rexrode. Also preceding her was her cousin, Don Gee, who grew up with her family and was considered a brother by them.

Left behind to cherish her memory are her children Brandon Gene Dunn of Wichita Falls, Belinda Dunn O'Neil and husband Tom of Wichita Falls, Beverly Dunn Andrews and husband Max of Stillwater, Oklahoma, and Brian Gene Dunn and wife Sherry of Wichita Falls.  She is also survived by grandchildren, Ben O'Neil, Melody O'Neil Crawford, Robert O'Neil, Casey Sparks, Aaron Andrews, Adam Andrews, Gracie Dunn and Brendan Dunn as well as four great grandchildren Jack and Mike Crawford, Rowan O'Neil, and Aiden Andrews. She is also survived by brothers Frank and Roland (Bud) Rexrode and sisters Clay Gail Rexrode Parsons, Peggy Rexrode Lundy, and Janice Rexrode Downing.

Her Celebration of Life Service will be held Monday June 2nd at 1 pm at Faith Baptist Church with burial following at Crestview Memorial Park Cemetery.

Special thanks are given to Shirley's brother, Frank, and sister, Janice, for their ongoing support to Shirley's children as they strived in caring for her at home.
