Stavros Panagiotarakos, 75, of Wichita Falls, was called home to the lord on Thursday, July 17, 2025.

The family welcomes friends to a visitation on Sunday July 20th from 5:00 to 6:00 PM at Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Monday July 21st at 1:00 PM at Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church with Father Nektarios officiating. Burial is to follow at Rosemont Cemetery under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.

Stavros was born on September 9, 1949, in Athens, Greece, to Themistoklis and Ifiyenia Panagiotarakos. He was one of four children. At the young age of fifteen, he lost his older brother, who was a military pilot. Shortly after that, he lost his father, who had brain cancer. This event caused Stavros to get a job traveling on ships as a cook. He traveled abroad for many years. On one of his trips back home to Greece, he met and married Stella Koutelieri. They had two daughters, Mary and Efi. During his travels, he came to America and decided that one day he would come back. That day came in October of 1983, when he immigrated with his family. Stavros worked at Certainteed for 17years until he opened his own business, Hibiscus Café, in 1999, and is still operating to this day by his older daughter, Mary, and husband, Michail Akriotis.

Stavros is preceded in death by his parents, Themistoklis and Ifiyenia Panagiotarakos, and brother, Evangelos Panagiotarakos.

Stavros is survived by his beautiful wife Stella, daughters Mary Akriotis (Michail) and Efi Munoz( Fernando), granddaughters Stella, Katerina, and Alexandra Munoz, sister Litsa Economo, Evagelos Panagiotarakos, his goddaughter Evi Economo, and their families and friends.

The Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church was a big part of his life. Instead of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church, 3804 Seymour Rd., Wichita Falls, TX, 76309.
