Steven Lloyd Clossen, 68, of Wichita Falls, passed away on December 21, 2021.

Born on June 1, 1953 in Ottumwa, Iowa, "Steve" was the son of farmers, Marshall and Frances Clossen. Steve relished growing up on the farm- often telling stories of riding his naughty Shetland pony and swimming in the "crick".

He served in the Army for 20 years, particularly enjoying his two tours with the 11th Cavalry in Fulda, Germany and the 160th Night Stalkers at Fort Campbell. Quick to laugh, his joy would erupt from deep in his belly and his whole body would shake. A giant of a man with a gentle spirit; small children and animals flocked to him. Steve loved his volunteer work coaching football for the Boys & Girls Club, teaching Sunday School, and working in the church nursery.

His real love was always his family; he relished being a father and was endlessly proud of his children. He loved to hear about his son's medical research, though he never understood it, and to follow his daughter's equestrian career.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Marshall Clossen and Gracie "Frances" Wiggins, and his son Steven Justin Clossen.

He is survived by his wife BJ Clossen; his children Dr. Bryan Clossen and Caitlin Clossen; his sisters Cindy and her husband Jim Cox, Connie and Don Freytag, and Cathie and Butch Hansen; and his grandchildren Chloe and Joseph Clossen.
We could have never had enough time and will miss him always.
