Susie M. Garcia, 88, of Wichita Falls, Texas, passed away on August 11, 2026. 

A Rosary will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at Crestview Memorial Park Mausoleum, with funeral services to follow at 1:30 P.M.

Susie devoted much of her working life to her career as a beautician, where her warmth, kindness, and genuine interest in others helped her form many lasting friendships with loyal customers over the years. She had a gracious and giving spirit, and those who knew her will remember her as a true people person who made others feel welcomed and cared for.

Susie and her beloved husband, Felipe, shared the extraordinary blessing of 72 years of marriage. A lifelong Elvis fan, Susie often fondly remembered being drawn to Felipe in part because of his resemblance to a young Elvis. Together, they built a life centered on love, family, faithfulness, and hospitality. A visit to their home often meant being welcomed to the table, sharing a generous meal, and leaving with both a full stomach and a full heart.

In their early years, Susie and Felipe enjoyed recreational fishing, family gatherings, and dancing. In retirement, they embraced the joy of travel, taking memorable trips around the world and enjoying vacation cruises. Among their favorite traditions was spending the winter months in their travel trailer at South Padre Island, Texas, where they treasured the camping experience and the simple pleasure of time together.

A devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, caring sister, and cherished friend, Susie leaves behind a legacy of love, generosity, and joyful memories. She will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know her.

Susie was preceded in death by her mother, Atanacia “Tannie” Navarrete; her sister, Dora Martinez; and her brothers, Rudy Martinez Jr., Samuel Martinez, and Paul Martinez.

She is survived by her husband, Felipe S. Garcia of Wichita Falls; her son, Jerry Garcia and wife, Kathy Garcia, of Lenoir City, Tennessee; her daughter, Kathy Garcia Thomas and husband, Dan Thomas, of Wichita Falls; her son, Phillip A. Garcia and wife, Kathryn Crispin, of Fischer, Texas; and her daughter, Michelle Garcia Reed and significant other, David Hicks, of Wichita Falls, Texas. She is also survived by eight grandchildren: Michael Thomas and wife, Stephanie Milo Thomas; Daniel Thomas and wife, Jimilee Thomas; Trista Henderson and husband, Jaco Saaiman; Keith Kasparek and wife, Natalie Kasparek; Holly Kasparek; Pamela Lindsey and husband, Garrett Lindsey; Justin Elkins; and Lacy Elkins. Susie was blessed with twelve great-grandchildren: Aria Johnson and Rian Saaiman, Grant and Laurel Thomas, James and Grayson Thomas, Kannon and Cooper Kasparek, Alice and Knox Lindsey, Ricky Wayne Allen III, and Kennedy Sinclair. She is also survived by her brothers, George Martinez, Eli Martinez, and John Martin, as well as her sister, Linda Pike.
