Sylvia Ruth Robinson, 71, of Wichita Falls, passed away on Saturday, December 2, 2023.

Graveside services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 6th at Crestview Memorial Park with Mr. Scott Gunter officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.

A daughter of the late Gloria Loraine (Wyeth) and William F. Robinson, Sylvia was born on April 15, 1952, in Riverside, California.

As an Air Force brat Sylvia attended Elementary school in Riverside, California, Bermuda, Dover, Delaware, and Burkburnett, Texas. She graduated from WFHS in 1970. She received her BSN from TWU in 1974 and Master's of Nursing Education from The University of San Diego. Sylvia worked for Kaiser Hospital in San Diego, California, and Dallas, Texas, for 20 yrs. She worked for the Dialysis Center in Wichita Falls/ Fresenius Kidney Care for 10 yrs. For the next 8 years Sylvia was a travel companion and caregiver to her father who had Alzheimer's.

Sylvia was a Lifetime member of The Girl Scouts working as a camp nurse, troop leader, and supporter all her life.

Sylvia cherished her friends and activities made through her almost 50 years in Beta Sigma Phi. Sylvia's favorite hobbies was crocheting and embroidery for family, friends and charity groups. Her family and friends cherish the many items she has given them. Even while fighting cancer, during treatments, and hospital stays she made many items for Warm Up America and family members. Sylvia enjoyed traveling with friends, family and on her own.

Sylvia always had a cat or two with her wherever she lived. She loved her cats they were her children.

Along with her parents, Sylvia is also preceded in death by her half sister Marjorie Walton.

She is survived by her sisters, Hallie and her husband Scott Gunter, and Kathleen and her husband Jim Wright; nieces and nephew, and many great nieces and nephews. Sylvia loved her role as "Aunt Sylvia" in their lives.
