Rev. T. L. Wilborn, 87, of Wichita Falls, Texas passed away on Sunday, April 14, 2024.

The family will receive friends at a visitation from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 17th at Lunn's. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 18th at Mercy Church, 3101 McNiel Avenue in Wichita Falls, TX 76309 with Superintendent of NTD AG Dr. Gaylan Claunch officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.

Rev. T.L. Wilborn, son of the late Leona (Fellers) and Everett W. Wilborn, was born on October 2, 1936, in Port Lavaca, Texas. T.L. attended Southwestern Assemblies of God Seminary in Waxahachie, Texas, where he met his sweetheart, Marilyn (Wilson) Wilborn. T.L. and Marilyn were married in Lake Providence, Louisana, in 1955. They shared 69 beautiful and fulfilling years of marriage. In 1956, he and Marilyn moved to Tivoli, Texas, where he pastored his first church and started raising his three children, Debbie, Linda, and Tommy. For over 65 years, Rev. Wilborn served as a pastor in Arkansas, Louisiana and Texas. From pioneering a church in his youth and being a shepherd to many people throughout his life, he continued to share the message of Christ with individuals of every age and generation. He was a man characterized by mercy, humility, compassion and strength. Throughout his many years as a pastor, he lived by the motto "Give glory to God" in all things, from his personal ministry to thousands of people.

After retirement, T.L. dedicated 13 additional years as a shepherd to other ministers as a Presbyter and Regional Executive Presbyter in the North Texas District of the Assemblies of God.  Rev. T.L. Wilborn dedicated his life to fulfilling God's vision and purpose. He demonstrated God's love, care and respect to everyone he encountered and practiced kindness daily. If he had a moment of your time, he never left without asking if you had a personal relationship with the Lord.

T.L. was preceded in death by his parents Everett and Leona Wilborn; sisters, Inona G.Buren, Joy E. Graham and Peggy Lou Goodrich Leigh; and brothers E.W. Wilborn, Leo G. Wilborn, Charles B. Wilborn, Clarence R. Wilborn, and Jerry W. Wilborn.

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn; two daughters, Debbie Hankins and Linda Tippit and husband Garry of Wichita Falls; one son, Tommy Wilborn II, wife Cyndie; 7 grandchildren, Ashley Fitzwater (Daniel), Amanda Nugent (Kevin), Michael Hankins, Brittany Schumacher (Kevin), Natasha Ross (Stephen), Tommy Wilborn III (Amy), Sterling Wilborn (Vanessa); 18 great grandchildren Caleb, Chloe, Caitlin, Abby, Andrew, Donald, Alexzander, Beau, Oliver, Tucker, Hudson, Tripp, Baylor, Reese, Ty, Pierson, Klein, Remington, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
