Thomas Armstrong passed away on February 13, 2021 in Wichita Falls.  A Graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, February 22, 2021 in the Nocona Cemetery in Nocona, Texas with Michael McCleary officiating.  Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.

Thomas was born February 13, 1938 to A. P. and Mary Elizabeth (Southard) in Bowie, Texas.  Thomas joined the navy in September of 1958 where he served until retirement as an E8 in September of 1975. After retirement from the military he earned his Master's in Education from North Texas State University and taught at Vernon College. He spent the last 10 years of his career as a civilian teaching at Sheppard Air Force Base.

Thomas married Leta Jo Smith February 13, 1960 in Nocona, Texas.

Thomas was preceded in death by daughter Jana Kae Armstrong.

He is survived by wife Leta of Wichita Falls; son Stephen of Wichita Falls; daughter Tiffani and fiancé Matt Owen of Wichita Falls and daughter Britni Landers and husband Justin Landers of Chehalis, Washington and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
