Troy Spivey passed away quietly on November 5, 2023, while in residence at Brookdale Sikes Lake Senior Living Center in Wichita Falls, Texas. He is survived by his wife Pauline; his daughter Terry Farris and son-in-law Mark; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Nancy Basham; and brother Glenn Spivey both of Winchester, Kentucky, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Troy was born August 1, 1932, in Cow Creek, Kentucky, the fifth of ten children of James Leonard Spivey and his wife Bonnie Lee Canter Spivey. He enlisted in the Air Force near the beginning of the Korean War. Stationed at Loring AFB in Limestone, Maine, he met and soon married Pauline, his wife of 69 years. Troy went to Viet Nam in 1965, and retired as a Chief Master Sergeant after 27 years of service. After the Air Force, he earned a degree from Southwest Texas State University and had a second career teaching JROTC at John Jay High school in San Antonio, Texas.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home in Wichita Falls at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, November 13th with the Reverend Liz Talbert officiating. Troy will be buried at the National Cemetery in Dallas-Ft Worth, Texas. Those wishing to make a memorial donation should consider Brookdale Sikes Lake Senior Living Center or Hospice of Wichita Falls.
