Violet Rose Bridges Pitchford, age 84, passed away on February 5, 2022 in Wichita Falls. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, February 9, 2022 in the Crestview Mausoleum Chapel with Tim Puckett officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.

Violet was born February 28, 1937 to James Lewis and Stella Rose (Jackson) Cooper in Fort Worth, Texas.  She married Loddie Bridges in 1955 and he passed away in 1988 after 33 years of marriage. She then married A.C. Pitchford in May 2006. Violet worked for the postal service for and retired after many years of dedicated service.

Violet was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband and a brother. She is survived by her husband, A.C. Pitchford; two children, Lonnie Bridges and wife Debbie of Mansfield, TX and Cindy Measley and husband John of Wichita Falls, TX; three step children,  Curtis of Wichita Falls, TX, Sheila of League City, TX and Shirley of Fort Worth, TX; a sister, Dorothy Moore of Fort Worth, TX, two brothers, Wayne Cooper of Crowley, TX and Wade Cooper of Joshua, TX; four grandchildren, Sean, Jenea, Shannon and Alyssa; four great grandchildren and numerous step grandchildren and step great grandchildren.
