Walter Edgar Carender is a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather, and a steady presence in the lives of those who know and love him.

Memorial services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 6th at Lunn's Chapel with Pastor Chad Stubblefield officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.

Walter was born on November 20, 1936, in Marshall County, Oklahoma. He lived a life marked by quiet strength, loyalty, and deep devotion to his family. He showed his love through presence, protection, and consistency—often without needing words. His actions spoke for him.

A devoted husband, Walter shared his life with his wife, Julia Carender, building a family rooted in commitment, care, and enduring love. As a father, Walter shared strong bonds with his children: David Carender, Lori Wheeler, Jana Carender-Westberg, and Julie Carender-Lockhart. He took pride in being present through both ordinary days and meaningful moments, valuing conversation, laughter, and time spent together.

Walter embraced a blended family with love and grace. Through marriage and partnership, his family expanded, and he welcomed each member as his own.
