Wanda McCalip, 89, of Wichita Falls, passed away on Monday, June 22, 2026.

The family will receive friends at a visitation from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 28th at Lunn's. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, June 29th at Heritage Church with Pastor Ron Barnard, Pastor Tim Puckett and Pastor Claude Hendricks officiating.  Interment will follow at Truce Cemetery under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.

A daughter of the late Mary Ida (Rector) and Alfred Joy Hudson, Wanda was born on August 26, 1936, in Jacksboro, Texas. She lived a life centered on faith, family and service to others. She found great joy in gardening and sewing and cherished every opportunity to spend time with her husband, children, grandchildren, great and great-great-grandchildren. She was especially known for preparing memorable Thanksgiving meals and lovingly serving others through her work in the church kitchen. A devoted Christian, she loved the Lord deeply and faithfully prayed for her family throughout her life.

Along with her parents, Wanda was also preceded in death by her ten brothers.

She is survived by her husband of 72 years, Charles Joe McCalip; her children, Diane Veal, Teresa and David Helms, and Ronny and Teresa McCalip; seven grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; their spouses; and numerous beloved family members and friends.
