William “Bill” Plummer, 84, of Wichita Falls, Texas, passed away peacefully on September 8, 2026.

A son of the late Eva Fay (Spradlin) and Richard Allen Plummer, Bill was born on November 3, 1941, in El Dorado, Kansas. After honorably serving in the United States Air Force, Bill married the love of his life, Carolyn Louise Needham, on June 7, 1964. Together, they attended Bethany Nazarene College before Bill embarked on a long, successful career with Sears Roebuck and Company. His career took his growing family from Kansas to Arkansas, and eventually to Texas—with stops in Amarillo, Wichita Falls, and Dallas—before culminating at the corporate head office in Chicago as a buyer for Craftsman tools, a role he deeply loved.

Bill was a man of action and devotion. He enjoyed playing racquetball, tending to his yard, and taking on any project that put a tool in his hands. His ultimate passion, however, was golf. In retirement, he fulfilled a lifelong dream of living on a golf course and accomplished the impressive goal of playing a round of golf in all 50 states.

Above all, Bill was defined by his unwavering Christian faith and his love for his family. He was an active church member wherever he lived, serving on the boards at First Assembly of God and First Baptist Denton. If the church doors were open, Bill was there. He faithfully led his family in the Lord and shared 57 wonderful years of marriage with Carolyn before her passing in 2021. Together, they loved golfing, traveling with friends, and cherishing their daughters and grandchildren. Known for his quick wit, generous smile, and genuine kindness, Bill was a hard worker who was deeply admired and respected by all who knew him. Even after losing his beloved wife, he continued to live with courage and grace, while missing her every day. His family takes immense comfort in knowing they are together again, in the presence of their Lord and Savior.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Eva Plummer; his brother, Bob Plummer; and his beloved wife, Carolyn Plummer.

He is survived by his daughters, Keri Blair and Kristi Faulkner; his sons-in-law, Kevin Blair and Robert Faulkner; and his grandchildren, Ryan Faulkner, Ethan Faulkner, Emeri Milam, and Canon Faulkner.

Service Details:

· Funeral Service: Friday, September 11, 2026, at 2:30 p.m. at Lunn’s Colonial Funeral Home in Wichita Falls, Texas, with Pastor Shaun Campbell officiating.

· Visitation: Friends and family are invited to a visitation at the funeral home immediately following the service.

· Graveside Service: Saturday, September 12, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Roselawn Memorial Park in Denton, Texas, with Pastor Jeff Williams officiating.
