William Ray Toles, age 93, passed peacefully from this world on February 16, 2023, into the gates of glory where he was welcomed by a host of loved ones.

Visitation will be on Sunday, February 19 ^th from 5-6 pm and a celebration of life service will be on Monday, February 20 ^th at 10 a.m. at Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home with the burial to follow at Crestview Memorial Park.

Born October 22, 1929 in a log cabin in Wood County, Texas, to William Forrest Toles and Nellie Jane Toles, he followed in his father's steps in carpentry and spreading the love of Jesus Christ.  He built homes, banks, restaurants and churches throughout Texas for 80 years.  He also built up all his friends, colleagues and family by being a mentor, encourager and advisor, finest Christian man.  He was always pointing others to Christ and their need of a Savior.  Dad was known by several names, but the best name given was a child of God.

Dad met Billie Marie Gary in Brownfield, Texas.  They eloped and married on Christmas Day 1947.  Throughout their marriage, they served Christ, supported their church and missions worldwide and loved their families without measure.

Descendants blessed by our Daddy are:  Johnny Ray Toles (Peggy), Gary Wayne Toles (Renae), Sharon Toles Pike (Harold).  Grandchildren who affectionately loved their Papaw are:  Jonathan Toles (Laura), Sarah Toles Campbell (Drew), Justin Pike (Meredith), Evyn, Forrest, Davis, William and Silas.  Known to his siblings as Bunky are: Donal Toles, Rebekah Deal (Robert) and Vereda Koch (Terry).
