Edith Burrows Peirce
September 26, 1920 - May 27, 2018

Edith Burrows Peirce of Wichita Falls was born on September 26, 1920, to Mike and Ruby McGee of Bellevue, Texas, and went to her Heavenly Home on May 27, 2018. Visitation will be at Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home on Friday, June 1 at 6-7 pm. Funeral services will be at Lunn's Funeral Home on Saturday, June 2 at 2:00 pm. Burial will be at Crestview Memorial Park
Edith was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was raised in Bellevue and spent most of her life in Wichita Falls. She was a member of Wichita Falls Church of Christ.
Edith loved her family and numerous friends and always lent a helping hand to anyone in need. She touched many lives in loving ways and will be sorely missed. Her oven was always full of wonderful food and her pecan pie was the best. She loved flowers and birds and filling her house with lovely things. Also known as "Memaw", she rarely missed her children and grandchildren's major events, from tennis matches to baseball games to graduations, and she was an avid fan of the Rider Raiders. Her love for the game of forty-two led to many competitive wins with her partner and husband, Jack. And still, at the age of 97, her smile and charm filled any room with her warmth and love.
Edith is preceded in death by her late husband, Elbert Burrows.
She is survived by her husband, Jack Peirce; sons Charles Burrows of Breckenridge, Colo; Dan Burrows and wife Gay of McKinney, Texas; grandchildren, Kyle Lucas and wife Elaine of Round Rock, Texas; Brad Burrows and wife Lynn of Lewisville, Texas; and Seth Burrows of Bend, Oregon; great-grandchildren, Josh and Kira Lucas, Jackson and Nathan Burrows and Tyler Burrows; sisters, Ruth Gipson of Mabank; Geneva Morgan and husband Elmo of Wichita Falls; and Janelle McMinn of Ft. Worth. Survivors also include Jack's sons, Doug Peirce, David Peirce, Dwayne Peirce and their families of Wichita Falls; and daughter Rebecca Pierce of California.
Pallbearers: Kyle Lucas, Brad Burrows, Cliff Peirce, Bradey Peirce, Benjamin Peirce, and Brandon Peirce.
