Raymond Edward Foster, Sr., 65, also known as “Bay Bay" to his family, of Wichita Falls, TX passed away on Sunday, December 30, 2018. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 11, 2019, at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church with Dr. Robert M. Castle officiating. Interment will follow at Crestview Memorial Park under the direction of Lunn’s Colonial Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at a visitation from 6-7 p.m. on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at Lunn’s.

Mr. Foster was born on January 17, 1953 to the late Will and Creola (Gordon) Foster. On June 20, 1975 he married the late Carolyn Craft. To this marriage he had three sons, Raymond Foster, Jr, the late LaMond Foster, and Julius Foster. Along, with two stepsons and a special daughter Ronald Cooper, Jr., Adrian Cooper, and Safonia Cooper. Mr. Foster graduated from Ponchatoula High School in 1971. In 1971, he also joined the United States Air Force. He served in The USAF for 20 years retiring in September 1991. He was a veteran of The US Invasion of Panama and The Persian Gulf War. After retiring from the military, Mr. Foster. worked as Cook and Baker for Work Services Corporation at Sheppard AFB. He worked there from 1993 until 1998, when he fell ill to the Gulf War Syndrome. In 1993, he was appointed as an Associate Minster at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church to Dr. Robert Castle; where he served until his death.

Mr. Foster loved God and to cook. Cooking and praising God were his passions. He would spend numerous days praying and witnessing with individuals. He was an active member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church since 1991. He also had a love for garage sales and thrift stores. He will forever be known as a loving father, grandfather, uncle, friend, and mentor. You could always spot him from the way he dressed in his dress suits and shoes.

Mr. Foster is preceded in death by his wife Carolyn Foster, his son LaMond Foster, his parents Will Sr. and Creola Foster, sisters Willie Mae Jett and Marion Crump, brothers Will Foster Jr., Alvin Foster, Percy Brumfield, and five other infant siblings

Mr. Foster leaves to cherish his memory, his two sons Raymond Foster, Jr. and Julius Foster, both of Wichita Falls, TX. Two stepsons Ronald Cooper, Jr. of Bridgeport, CT and Adrian Cooper of Phoenix, AZ, a special daughter Safonia Cooper of Phoenix, AZ, four brothers Glen Foster of Fresno, CA, Ervin Foster (Vicky) of Slidell, LA, Michael Foster of New Orleans, LA, and Wayne Foster of Ponchatoula, LA; one sister Lee Ester Foster of Fresno, CA, 6 granddaughters, 5 grandsons, and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, extended family, and mentor Dr. Robert M. Castle.
