They had two children: a son, Larry Yarberry and a daughter, Vickie Yarberry Jordan. Lavenia worked thirty years in Air Force Civil Service as a secretary to the SAFB Hospital Commander. After retirement, from the base, she managed the family business up until the day she passed away.
Lavenia loved to serve the Lord and was a longtime member of Western Hills Baptist Church, where she taught the Ladies’ Sunday School Class for over thirty years. Five grandchildren, Jana Gilmore (Cecil), Jayne Asmus (Kris), Jodi Jordan and Houston Yarberry.
