Corey Hicks
September 15, 1975 - July 19, 2020

Brandon Corey “Hoss” Hicks, 44, of Wichita Falls, passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2020.

The family will receive friends at a visitation from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 23rd at Lunn’s. Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 24th at Crestview Memorial Park with Harley Davidson and David Johnson officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.

Corey, or “Hoss” as he was known by many, was born on September 15, 1975, in Wichita Falls to Shiryl (Conner) and Britt Hicks. He graduated from S.H. Rider High School in 1994 and attended MSU. He loved to barbeque and enjoyed family gatherings. He had developed Dad’s Paydirt Barbecue Seasoning, and it has become very popular and was a sponsor for several race cars. His fur baby, Ellie, was his pride and joy.

Corey was welcomed with open arms by his loving dad, Britt and his grandparents into his heavenly home on July 19, 2020. He was a loving son, brother and uncle to Remington, whom he adored. He was known to many as 'Hoss' and was a kind gentle giant of a man. He was always ready to help his friends or in his job at Lowe's.

Corey is survived by his mother Shiryl Hicks-Smith and stepfather Ed Smith; brother Brice Hicks and wife Jennifer; nephew Remington Britt; aunts and uncles Carmen and Gayla Noey; and Mark and Kay Kluver; cousins Brandy and Shaun Beasley; Becky and Brady Holster; Chris and Michelle Kluver; and Kyle and Tamara Kluver families.

Corey was preceded in death by his father, Britt; and grandparents, Matt and Earleen Conner; and Tommy and Sue Hicks.

Corey left us far too soon, but we find comfort that he is with his Heavenly Father, and he is able to be with Britt, as well. We would like to thank our friends and family who have sent prayers, calls, food and texts giving us comfort and love. We love you all.

For those desiring, memorial contributions may be sent to Animal Services Center-City of Wichita Falls, 1207 Hatton Road, Wichita Falls, TX 76302.
