Charlotte Ruth Harr was born on November 19, 1914 to Charles Lee and Rebecca Frances Williford Odell in Comanche County, Texas. She died on April 9, 2011, at the age of 96. Mrs. Harr moved with her family to Wichita Falls in 1929. She graduated from Wichita Falls High School and what was then Wichita Falls Jr. College. She was employed by W.F.I.S.D. in several positions. She worked for the Board of Education and in the library during the six years before she married in 1942. When her husband, Russell W. Harr died in 1971, she went back, worked in the office at W.Falls High School and retired after 15 years in 1989, having served WFISD for a total of 21 years.

A longtime member of First Baptist Church, she had participated in many activities here including teaching Sunday School in the Jr. Dept. several years, WMU, her womens SS class, and enjoyed singing in the Glory choir in later life. She also helped in scouting, Camp Fire Girls and was a former member of the Womans Forum and Bethania Hospital Auxiliary.

Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Harr, and her sister, Jessie Lee Sadler. She is survived by her daughter, Ruth Masterson Chuck of McKinney, Tx., her son, Charles Harr Lynne of Knoxville, Tn., two grandsons, Trey Hodges Jenniferof Allen Tx., Greg Hodges Bonney of Redondo Beach, CA, and three great grandchildren, Wyatt and Sophie Hodges, and Carson Hodges. She also leaves four nieces and many other family members and friends. She loved her family and friends very much and she will be missed by all. The family expresses sincere gratitude to the staffs of Presbyterian Manor and Hospice of Wichita Falls.

The family will be at Lunn39s Funeral Home for visitation on Friday evening, April 15th from 6:30 to 8:00 PM. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, April 16th, 11:30 AM in the Chapel of Lunns Funeral Home with Rev.Rod Payne officiating. Rev. Woody Weilage, a family member, will conduct the burial service at Crestview Memorial Park immediately following. Pallbearers will be: Trey Hodges, Greg Hodges, Blake Langley, Dr. John Savell, Don Shipe, and Rev. Woody Weilage.
