Bula Mae Ball Hoggard, 93, of Graham passed away April 21, 2011 at Hospice of Wichita Falls.

Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 pm Saturday, April 23, 2011 at Lunns Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Harvey McMurry, longtime family pastor and friend, officiating. Burial will follow at Indian Mound Cemetery in Young County at 4:00 pm. Arrangements are under the ion of Lunns Colonial Funeral Home.

Mrs. Hoggard was born September 18, 1917 in Eliasville, Texas to the late E.M. Ball and Eula Hopper Ball. She married the late J.B. Hoggard on January 9, 1938, in Jacksboro, Texas. She was a longtime, beloved member of the First Baptist Church of Graham, Texas where she unselfishly served her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ for many years.

She was a homemaker and enjoyed quilting, sewing, crocheting, painting, and many other crafts. She was named the 19761977 Young County THDA Woman of the Year. She was an avid reader and fabulous storyteller. She was a farmers wife and as such was very resourceful and knew how to do anything and everything. She was a fantastic cook and family and friends enjoyed many Sunday dinners at her house. She was a caretaker from an early age and lovingly cared for many family members in their time of need. She was a beloved daughter, sister, friend, wife, mother and aunt and was the kind of grandmother and great grandmother every child would dream of for their own.

Survivors include her two sons, Kenneth Hoggard of Loving, and Ted Hoggard and wife Shirley both of Wichita Falls sisters Minnie Reeves of Mount Vernon, and Polly Nabors of College Station, Tx grandson, Kevin Hoggard and wife Christine granddaughter, Cyndi Hoggard Burk and husband Curtis great grandsons, Joshua and Michael Hoggard great granddaughter, Tiffani Burk, all of Wichita Falls. Many nephews and nieces also survive.

She was preceded in death by brothers Rayford Ball, Graham Ball, Milton Sam Ball, and J.T. Ball and sisters Emma Jane Ball and Winona York.

The family will be at the funeral home Friday evening from 78 Pm, for visitation.
